Your Hair Legacy-What Causes Hair Loss?

Your Hair Legacy

All of us, men and women, have a hair legacy which we need to preserve. Hair loss is often misunderstood.  Hair is often regarded as a reflection of health.  On average we have 100,000 to 150,000 hairs.  People are sensitive about the quality of their hair. Very recent research has made it possible for science to understand the secret life of hair, from its birth to death.

Hair Physiology

MELANOCYTES: these cells supply the pigments which give hair its color. DERMAL PAPILLA: play a vital role in supplying the scalp with blood. HAIR FOLLICLE: this is a double sheath which anchors hair in the epidermis and dermis. SEBACEOUS GLAND: this gland helps keep hair permanently lubricated. HORRIPILATE MUSCLE: this muscle makes hair bristle in cases of stress. HAIR STEM: composed entirely of keratin-packed cells. CORTEX: hair color is determined by melanin located in the center of the hair stem in the cuticle (keratin filaments make up the structure of the cuticle). BULB: each hair is implanted in the skin by means of a bulb which is produced by a rich and important area, the matrix. MATRIX: a hair production workshop, the matrix allows germinal cells to divide rapidly so that older, keratinised cells are pushed outwards. The hair stems originate here.

The Hair Cycle

Hair is a living material and is therefore undergoes growth and death cycles.

Hair in the growth phase: anagenesis Hair in the non-growth phase: catagenesis Hair in the falling phase: telogenesis The ideal ratio is 4 anagenesis: 1 telogenesis.

Control Your Skin With Wrinkle Cure and Anti Aging Care

Discover the secrets of anti aging treatment and get that healthy glow back into your skin. It is not a far-fetched dream. Come, read on and make it a reality.

Eternal youth is what mankind has coveted since ages. However, while eternal youth is a far-fetched dream, mankind has succeeded in inventing various creams, medicines, and ointments that slows the process of aging to a considerable level. However, before you try out any of these treatments it is important you do some research. While looking young is a tempting prospect the treatment is not always safe.

The most common anti-aging treatments are anti-wrinkle creams. These creams can be used on the skin directly to reduce wrinkles, treat sagging skin and age spots. But be careful in your choice since most of these have harsh chemicals which can do you harm.

Understand the ageing process.

- Ageing is a natural process of life. It need not be abhorred or feared. It is important to remember that the aim is to look good without wrinkles. If you are fifty, no anti-aging product can make you look sixteen again. Creams and surgeries cannot remove the signs of aging, they can only minimize them.

- If your skin can produce elastin, collagen, hyaluronic acid, and anti oxidants to protect it, then looking young is not a very difficult prospect. It’s only when your body starts losing its natural contents that it starts looking ill. Therefore, when you treat aging with natural products it is most effective. Natural products work from the inside. While other creams and even surgeries work only on the surface a natural treatment fixes the problem from the root.

What are the various anti-aging skin treatments?

The Origins Of Alternative Medicine

The origins of alternative medicine, also known as holistic medicine, can be traced back thousands of years to the very roots of medicine. Many millennia ago, physicians or healers would assess the sick person’s emotional condition in addition to their physical symptoms before beginning treatment. The roots of alternative medicine deal with the symptoms of the “whole” person, not merely the physical signs of illness. This is radically different from traditional medicine today.

In medicine today, people demand to be cured immediately, and the demand for medicines and treatments that do so is very high. Most physicians today are trained to assess physical symptoms and base treatments on that, without much consideration of the person’s emotional or intellectual state.

Since its inception, alternative medicine has survived the ages and stages of the field of medicine. Despite the prevalence of modern medical practices, there are still millions of people worldwide that take advantage of alternative treatments for ailments or well-being. Some of these alternative treatments include massage therapy, herbal remedies, and meditation. Massage is one of the most long-standing forms of alternative treatment, and it is highly popular today as a treatment for aches and pains, and as a means of stress release and relaxation. Most people probably don’t even think about massage as a type of alternative medicine.

Through the ages, every society has used their own forms of alternative medicines and treatments. There is over 5000 years of history and many types of treatments that were used far and wide, and many traditional medical treatments can even find their roots in alternative medicine from long ago.
